Everything you need to know about how your home gets designed, and the spaces that follow.
It's the person who will understand how you live before they ever suggest how a room should look. The one holding onto your story, your history, and what this particular season of life in Lexington should feel like. The spaces your family will move through every single day for years to come.
This is the page that walks you through what it's like to work with us, from the first conversation to the final install.

Choosing your wedding photographer should feel like the rest of your planning.
Enjoyable, considered, and a little slow on purpose. Your photographs are how you'll remember the day itself, and the keepsake you'll hold long after the last dance.
What follows is exactly what working with us looks like. From the first inquiry, through the wedding day itself, all the way to the moment your gallery arrives, edited, organized, and ready to share.
“The most considered design we have ever seen.”
“Our guests still ask who designed our home years later.”
“Working with her was the easiest decision we made all year.”

Claire spent more time asking questions than any designer we'd ever met. By the time she started presenting options, everything she showed us made sense. It was like she had been paying attention to our lives all along.

She asked us about our story, where we'd been, what we'd kept, what we wanted this house to feel like in twenty years. The rest of the process felt easy after that.

We moved into a new build and couldn't figure out why it felt so empty. Claire figured it out in about ten minutes.

CAN YOU WORK WITH PIECES I ALREADY OWN?
Always. Some of the most interesting rooms we've designed were built around an inherited piece, a rug someone loved, or furniture that needed a better setting. Your existing pieces often become the starting point for the whole story.
HOW LONG DOES A PROJECT TYPICALLY TAKE?
It depends on scope. A focused room or two can move quickly, while a whole-home renovation or new construction project typically runs six to eighteen months. We'll give you a realistic timeline at the start and keep you informed throughout so there are no surprises.
WHAT DOES FULL-SERVICE DESIGN ACTUALLY INCLUDE?
Everything. Concept development, finish selections, furniture sourcing, vendor coordination, project management, and installation oversight. You make the decisions you want to make and we carry everything else, so the process feels manageable rather than consuming.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Most clients come to us three to six months before they want design work to begin, and new construction clients ideally reach out before permits are pulled. The earlier we connect, the more intentional the process. Popular project slots fill quickly, especially in spring and fall.
DO YOU WORK ON NEW CONSTRUCTION?
Yes, and it's some of our favorite work. Getting involved before the walls go up means every finish, fixture, and furniture plan is considered together rather than layered on top of decisions that were already made. If you're building in Hartland, Hamburg, or anywhere in Fayette County, reach out as early as possible.
Do you work outside of Lexington?
Yes, happily. We design homes across Central Kentucky and beyond, and we're always glad to talk through projects in Louisville, Frankfort, the surrounding Bluegrass region, or destination work further afield. Travel beyond the Lexington area is quoted simply and transparently once we know where you're headed.
